Or you can savour the delicious Haleem of Pista house, Hyderabad special desserts like Khubani-ka-meetha or double-ka-meetha, seek kababs, or grab some pink sugar candies. Other than Hyderabad cuisines, there was stalls selling Kashmiri dry fruits, special banana chips and pickles from Kerala and many other items to give your taste buds a real treat. There is much delicacies one have to explore.

Moreover shopping, its a visual treat of colours with artworks of various artisans, lights, funrides and the list goes on and on.. There will be a lot of small stalls selling products all over from India, in exhibition grounds of Nampally for a duration of 46 days.

So this time, I got a chance to experience the real Hyderabadi Festival Numaish which was conducted from 2018 January 1 to February 15. Timings for this exhibition was from 3.00 PM to 11.00 PM and it just cost you Rs.30 for the entry to this 23 acre space filled with stalls to experience the local products and cuisines of India.

The word Numaish is an urdu word, meaning exhibition. The history of this fair dates back to 1938 during the rule of Hyderabads last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan. A group of young minds from Osmania University started this exhibition, to display the local products which was organized in public gardens in Lakdikapul, which later shifted to Nampally exhibition grounds.
For Hyderabadis, its kind of an annual ritual. There will also be shops for everyday items like crockery, electronic items, clothes, bangles, toys, bedsheets and such things.

This was my first try out going alone and photographing crowd.. But I must say it was fun. It gives you ample opportunities to interact with the people around. There are many boards displayed to have a caution about pickpocketers.
You can give your body an adrenaline rush by taking a ride in Giant wheel, ferris wheel or you can watch stunts by the experienced riders in the Maut ka kua(The well of death).
If you live in Hyderabad, it's something you should not miss. Not for the one who doesn't like going in crowd.
Moreover shopping and having local cuisines, they support for good causes. This year theme was Economic Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Education.
Exhibition grounds is near to Nampally railway station. There are not much parking facilities available. You have to park your vehicle somewhere away from exhibition grounds and walk to the fair, which will be usually crowded.
From Secunderabad side if you are planning to go, take bus no.49, get down at Latha Talkies bus stop and walk for 2 minutes and voila!! You will reach the Gandhi Bhavan gate of the Industrial exhibition, which is less crowded to enter than the other two gates.
